KC Foundation Cost ("we", "us") is an independent referral and information site for foundation repair in the Kansas City metro. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and who we share it with.

What we collect

• What you enter in the quote form: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code and your description of what you're seeing.
• Cost estimator inputs: if you request a quote after using the estimator, the inputs you chose (foundation type, repair, size, add-ons) and the range it showed you are saved with your request. Using the estimator on its own doesn't ask for or store personal details.
• Your consent record: the version and wording of the consent you agreed to, the date and time, the page you submitted from, your IP address and your browser's user agent.
• How you found us: the page you first landed on, the referring website, and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you followed, saved with your request.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, the estimator and form being used, general location and device type). Google Analytics sets cookies for this. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.
• Necessary cookies: the site sets a session cookie and a security token cookie so the quote form can be submitted safely. They don't track you across sites.

Why we use it

• To review your request and, if it's a fit, pass it to one local foundation repair contractor who can contact you about your project.
• To tell you if we can't match you, for example if you're outside our service area.
• To keep a record of your consent.
• To improve the site and spot abuse, such as spam submissions.

Who we share it with

• One contractor per request. After we review your request, we share it with one independent local contractor. We never share a request with more than one contractor, and we don't send it to lists.
• Service providers that host the site, send our email and provide analytics, only so they can do that work for us.
• If the law requires it.

We don't sell your information to lists, lead aggregators or data brokers. Once a contractor has your request, their own privacy practices apply to how they use it.

Email

We only send transactional email about your request, such as a confirmation or a note that we couldn't match you. We won't send you marketing email unless you separately opt in.

How long we keep it

We delete quote requests and their consent records 24 months after they're submitted. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your choices

• Email hello@kcfoundationcost.com to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.
• Tell us, or the contractor, if you don't want to be contacted again about your request.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information: an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, a database that isn't publicly accessible, and access to lead records limited to the site owner. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

This site isn't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes and contact
