Typical whole jobs: $4,000–$15,000 (Olson) and $4,500–$16,000 (Foundation 1). Full piering projects with 5–10 piers run about $5,000–$30,000 (FIA). Angi's reported KC average is $5,569 (range $1,953–$9,185), as cited by Heartland FR; we haven't verified this on Angi directly.
How the estimator works
- Piers, cracks, jacks: your count × the per-unit range.
- Bowing walls: enter the wall length. We assume one carbon fiber strap per 4 ft and one anchor per 5 ft (spacing per HomeGuide). For steel beams we assume one per 4 ft; that spacing is our assumption, so you can override it with the count from your quote.
- Slab leveling: square feet × the per-sq-ft range.
- Add-ons: drain tile by the foot, sump pump, optional engineer report.
- Totals are rounded to the nearest $100 and always shown as a range.
Example: 6 push piers + 40 ft drain tile + sump pump
6 × $1,250–$2,500 = $7,500–$15,000; 40 × $75–$90 = $3,000–$3,600; sump $1,800–$2,000 → about $12,300–$20,600.

What moves the price up or down
- Depth to stable soil. One KC contractor says local clay can extend 15–25 ft before limestone (FIA); deeper piers need more steel.
- Access. Decks, patios, driveways and tight side yards add excavation and restoration.
- Method. Stabilizing a wall in place usually costs less than straightening it.
- Specialty work. Chimney, porch and garage piers: $2,200–$2,600 each at Foundation 1.
- Scope bundling. Drainage, crack injection and finish repair can be in or out of a bid.
For method-by-method detail see pier installation cost and bowing basement walls.
What the estimate doesn't include
- Permits (HomeGuide lists $75–$150 nationally; check your city)
- Unexpected conditions found on site
- Landscaping, concrete or deck removal and restoration
- Interior drywall, paint or flooring repair
- Minimum job charges (not published, so not modeled)
For significant structural movement, consider an independent structural engineer's evaluation before choosing a repair.
